Novartis is excited to showcase the best Lamisil® video’s featured at the Mofilm Tribeca awards this year. These videos are especially remarkable in their ability to make feet top-of-mind in a fun and engaging way.
 
This year Lamisil for Athlete’s Foot was one of seven global brands that worked with Mofilms to support aspiring filmmakers showcase their creative talent. The top five Lamisil entries were entered into the New York, Tribeca Film Festival where Llyod Choi and Simon Yang’s ‘Be proud of your Feet’ went on to win the Grand Prize! An amazing feat.
 
“Be Proud of Your Feet,” features a young man showing how many things you can actually use your feet for. He seems to get his feet out whenever he can with hilarious consequences.  It was the overall winner from seven winning videos of a number of different international brands.
Lloyd Choi, said, “The Lamisil brief really struck me as something that represented a challenge. You don’t normally see such an interesting mix of briefs in film making competitions and Lamisil sparked our imagination.”
Young filmmakers have big ideas and the top four winning videos look at Lamisil curing Athlete’s Feet in a number of humorous and insightful ways. The Mofilm competition was an experiment for Lamisil, and we are delighted with the quality of content we received.
 
Competitors from all over the globe were given just six week to complete a video for leading international brands. Hundreds of people chose to answer Lamisil’s challenge to build awareness of Athlete’s foot and convince sufferers that it’s worth treating, with some very surprising and engaging results.

This prescription medicine should be taken under doctor supervision. This is because overdose can have detrimental effects. While consuming this medicine alcohol or other sedatives and tranquilizers must be avoided to prevent harmful effects. The usual side effects of this drug include confused thinking, poor reactive ability and constipation.

The dosage must be taken by swallowing the pill with water. Breaking the tablet or chewing the contents can cause too much of the drug to be assimilated by the body at a time which can be harmful in case of extended release pills meant for slow action. Sudden stoppage of medicine intake will invite withdrawal symptoms and is hence not advisable.

This drug is never prescribed for those who are allergenic to narcotics or narcotic cough drugs, those suffering from asthma, paralytic ileus and pregnant women.

Morphine is to be taken if your body is opoid-tolerant. It is given for relieving pain after surgery only if you were consuming it before surgery to ensure that the body can bear its effects. It should not be consumed by persons suffering from asthma, paralytic ileus- a type of bowel congestion, persons allergenic to narcotics and pregnant women.

These prescription drugs should be taken with a doctor’s supervision as large doses can be dangerous. Extended-release pills must be swallowed as a whole and never broken to prevent issue of too much of the medicine at one time. However their contents may be sprinkled in apple sauce for quicker swallowing. Never chew the contents.

Morphine overdose can claim your life. If a dose is missed take it when you recollect the fact or resume with the next dose if it is time for the subsequent dose. Morphine’s abrupt retraction may cause withdrawal symptoms and is not advocated.

It is not prescribed for people suffering from asthma, paralytic ileus- a bowel impediment, those who are allergic to narcotics and for pregnant women.

Methodone doses may be administered through tablets, liquid solution, dispersible pills and injections. The injections are never given with the use of the pill or liquid form. Dispersible tablets won’t dissolve completely in the juice or water; they have to be ingested in the mixture form itself.

Alcohol and Methadone should not be consumed simultaneously as it can produce grave side effects or can be fatal. Overdose of Methadone can cause death hence proper regulation of dosage and doctor supervision is needed while consuming this drug. Don’t take additional quantum of the medicine if you miss doses.

If you miss doses for longer than three days you may have to resume consumption of the drug at a smaller dose and the doctor’s advice is required. Stoppage of its consumption abruptly can produce painful withdrawal symptoms and is hence not advocated.

These analgesics include ibuprofen, aspirin and other NSAIDs as well as paracetamol or acetaminophen. While the NSAIDs which are widely consumed can lower PSA levels by 10%, paracetamol lowers PSA levels by a lower percentage because it is less widely consumed.

The effect of painkillers on the PSA serum levels vary on the basis of several factors such as age, body mass index, race, other inflammations, heart ailments and smoking habits.
However the research scientists have warned that men should not start consuming painkillers as an antidote to prostate cancer. Moreover it has not yet been established whether the analgesics actually cause diminishment of PSA levels to reduce prostate cancer risk. This is because a lower PSA level could mean that prostate inflammation has diminished without lowering cancer risk. PSA can indicate not only cancer but also prostate enlargement.

The discovery though, has provoked more investigations and research on this very interesting link between prostate cancer risk and painkillers.

It is however possible to avert metabolic syndrome through a healthy lifestyle. You should eat a diet of foods that are low in calorie, fat and cholesterol content. Avoid a sedentary lifestyle. An hour each day of the week should be spared for workouts like aerobics, resistance training and cardio exercises to keep the muscles and heart healthy.

It will also help alleviate abdominal fat and vaporize inches from your waistline. It is prescribed that men should not have a waist measure of more than 40 and women should have a maximum waistline of 35 inches only.
